Banner Painting

There will be banner painting on the 21st of December (Mon) and the 22nd of December (Tue). Attire is P.T. Kit. Please fall in by 8am. The banner painting times are 8 to 4. CAMP EVO III 2 NOV TO 5 NOV @ PULAU UBIN

This is a camp organised by the National Crime Prevention Council and the Singapore Police Force.

The objectives of this camp are:

(a) To promote crime prevention awareness in recognising delinquent behaviour amongst youths;
(b) To encourage proactive learning, build up self-esteem and interpersonal communication skills;
(c) To instil sound values and develop a positive attitude towards life and breaking existing negative mindsets to allow for greater self discovery; and
(d) To be "community-aware", in recognising the role each person plays in society today.

Through this camp, you will embark on your journey of greater self discovery, and be empowered to reach a higher level of potential. With strengthened positive personality traits, the camp hopes to instil in you a stronger sense of community and social responsibility to impact positive influence on your peers when you return to school for the new term.

You only need to pay a sum of $50 either by Edusave or Cheque.

Revolver Shoot - Dry Practice at Bedok Police Division

Dear Sec 2 Cadets,

Please note that your dry practice is scheduled on Wed 26 Aug 2009 at Bedok Police Division at 3pm. You are required to assemble at the foyer at 1430hrs on Wed 26 Aug 2009.

We will have a briefing about firearms handling during training next week so that we can save time during the dry practice in order to maximise your weapons handling time during the dry practice itself.

Commendation for Sergeant Muhd Zulhilmi Bin Ahmad Kaharuddin of Class 3A

Sergeant Zulhilmi represented the Unit, Victoria School and NPCC Headquarters in the NPCC Marching Contingent of the National Day Parade 2009.

I will like to commend Sergeant Zulhilmi on his full attendance at all drill sessions and parade rehearsals. He did Victoria School proud with his outstanding performance at the parade. He was captured on TV. (For those who did not notice him, do keep a lookout for him on TV in the parade replay programmes)

It was tough training but he is resilient enough to handle. Commendable! Nil Sine Labore!

The Squad CIP will be on Thursday afternoon from 2:00pm to 4:30pm.

1) Collection of the collected food items from 'Care with a Can' from the class allocated to you immediately after school.
2) Bring the items to the area outside the NPCC room and report to the ICs for briefing.
3) Sort and pack the items in boxes and plastic bags (will be provided) accordingly.
4) Bring down the items to the foyer for collection by Marine Parade Family Services Centre.

Congratulations to SI (NPCC) Calvin Han, Class of 2006

SI(NPCC) Calvin Han from Class 4A 2006 received the prestigious Public Service Commission Overseas Merit Scholarship from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong yesterday.

Calvin was a Station Inspector from the Class of 2006, Victoria School. He was also First Deputy Head Prefect. He attained straight As in his O Levels and went on to Victoria Junior College. He excelled in both studies and Co-Curricular Activities in school and has also excelled in his military service. He was admitted to Officer Cadet School to undergo army officership training.

He will be reading Biology at University of Cambridge.

Calvin has brought honour to himself, his family, VJC, VS and VSNPCC Unit. VSNPCC Unit is proud of his achievements. All VSNPCC cadets, Calvin is an exemplary role model for each and everyone of you.

1. Pls ensure that you have taken your breakfast before attending the training session.
2. You are required to be in your half uniform when you fall in at 8am SHARP. (Reminder: You are NOT ALLOWED to come to school in your half uniform. We suggest that you come to school earlier in your PT Kit and change into your half uniform.)
3. Cadets who are absent from the above training are to submit their MCs / excuse letter ASAP.

We will be kick-starting our progressive training programme in preparation for your 2nd Class Drill Badge Test which will be held at the end of July.

Thus, it is important that you make yourself present for all the training sessions from now till then to ensure that you keep up with the training syllabus so as to ensure that you are well prepared for the test.

To be fair to the rest of your squadmates who make the effort to attend every training session, cadets who fail to turn up for more than 2 training sessions (with or without valid reason) will not be eligible for the badge test at the end of July (which means you have to wait for the next badge test near the end of the year in order to get the badge!)

CCA Phototaking this Thursday

This thursday, 30th April, is the CCA phototaking for NPCC. The time slot allocated to us is 5 pm. Thus all cadets are to fall in outside the NP room in their FULL NPCC UNIFORM by 4.45 pm sharp. Attendance for this is compulsory and only MCs are considered valid reasons. For those with tuitions please postpone them.

If you are unable to turn up or have missing uniform parts, please inform your Sirs LATEST by Wednesday. During your free time between dismissal till 4.45 pm, you guys are expected to make full use of that duration to study for the upcoming mid-year exams or tests. The SPF-NPCC Badge is the Singapore Police Force-NPCC Badge, awarded by the Commissioner of Police to the most outstanding NPCC cadets of each cohort.

PROPER CARE OF YOUR FULL NPCC UNIFORM

Arcainez,you are already Sec 2s.You are no longer just juniors but SENIORS.Your juniors will be looking up to you guys.At the same time,you guys will be assuming post of BLs/ABLs in UTC this year,and you guys will be taking over the unit next year. HOW can we entrust your juniors and the future of VSNPCC in your hands IF you can't even take care of your Uniform?Currently,in the Training cupboard,I have the following- Beret,Belt,NPCC UNIFORM TOP AND BOTTOM and a uniform cover.I can form a new set of Full U from the items I have inside my cupboard with just a pair of boots.This is unacceptable.Further more,the NPCC uniform top and bottom was FOUND IN THE CANTEEN  by Uncle Foo.If you say your beret/belt fell out of your bag,I can understand.BUT LEAVING YOUR UNIFORM BEHIND?With your rank,badge?The only thing that is missing from the top and bottom given to me was the name tag.Enough said.I DO NOT want to see a repeat of this incident.

Attire: Full NPCC Uniform (Those without Full Uniform need not attend, Nicholas Yuen and the 2 new cadets from 2E)

Sec 2s, do take note that there will be training this coming friday on the ninth of january. It will be the first training of the year. Everyone who reads this message please spread it on to everybody else, last year class ICs please do your role for 1 last time before we appoint new class ICs. Squad chairman and assistant chairman please assist in calling up all those people who cant access the internet and inform them of this fri's training.

The attendance for UTC was very good, and i hope that your squad will be able to continue and keep up that attendance for the rest of the trainings this year. Squad chairman, please do up a new list of the people in the various classes, print it out and pass it to me by this friday.
