Unit Training Camp 2010 Details

For the first day of camp on 27th Dec, please fall in by 7.00am at the kitchen(canteen) in your PT Kit. Remember that your hair should be short and neat. You should be dismissed from camp on the third day by 11.30am.

Apart from the items in the packing list, please bring your sleeping bag and current rank. For those wearing spectacles, please try to put on spectacle hooks or spectacle bands. You would not want them to be slipping down all the time when you are having your activities.

Please have your breakfast before coming. Any other final queries, please do consult us through your c-box. Thank you.

*Those doing the flag planting rehearsal, please remember to bring your half uniform.

Final Reminder about Short Haircut

Please get your hair cut before the Unit Training Camp:
1. Fringe should not be touching the eyebrows.
2. Hair should not be covering your ear and collar.

For those involved, you all will no longer sign up with the school. You all will sign up with the unit instead. Those who did not sign up for NYAA with the school can also sign up with the unit now.

NPCC Service Day 28 July 2010

You are required to attend the NPCC Service Day on 28 July 2010 Wednesday from 3pm to 530pm. You are to put your bags in NPCC Room at 2.55pm and to fall in at school foyer by 3pm sharp. Attire is Full NPCC Uniform (Sec 2 and Sec 3 Squads) and Full School Uniform (Sec 1 Squad). You are to bring along a water bottle.

NPCC Service Day is an annual nationwide event involving all Sec 1 to Sec 3 NPCC cadets. It is an event to mark NPCC contribution to the community where cadets experience & associate with the community. Essentially, NPCC cadets walk into the neighbourhood to spread messages on Crime Prevention. NPCC cadets, during the house-visits, will speak to the residents about crime prevention measures with the aid of their crime prevention handbook.

Victoria School NPCC Unit has been assigned Block 1 to 14 of Marine Terrace HDB estate. You will be assigned into groups of four cadets, led by a Sec 3 senior cadet. Teacher Officers will be around the vicinity to ensure the safety of all cadets. Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre has been notified of the NPCC Unit’s involvement in the NPCC Service Day at Marine Terrace HDB estate.

COMMENDATION FOR CPL NICHOLAS YUEN AND CPL LEE JIANG

CPL Nicholas Yuen 3D and CPL Lee Jiang 3F represented Victoria School at the Singapore Youth Festival Opening Ceremony Parade last evening 3 July at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Guest of Honour was Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education.

Both cadets underwent over a month of intensive drill practice sessions to prepare for the parade. Both performed well to be selected for the Guard of Honour Contingent. Over the last month, both have exhibited resilience, tenacity, perseverence and discipline to complete the training and parade.

Well Done and Congratulations to both.

1 Usher is only allocated to 1 SCHOOL except for the sec 2s meaning that the usher would be in charge of 2 TEAMS if the school sent in 2 TEAMS. So, the usher would move from place to place, maybe spend half the time with the girls, other half with guys.
If the school only sent in 1 TEAM, then just stick with that team.

For the remaining people, you will be required to be here to answer questions and help out wherever help is needed.

VSNPCC Challenge Unlimited Games Day 2010

The whole squad is required to come down on Monday, 15 March 2010 to prepare for Challenge Unlimited Games Day 2010 on Tuesday, 16 March 2010. You all will be required to come down to prepare logistics and to hang up decorations for the games day. There will also be a briefing by Mr Chan about the event followed by a briefing by me. Also, you will be required to come down on Tuesday to be ushers for the individual teams.

ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY except for those with valid reasons.

For the Campcraft people, you will need to come down on Monday for the prep AFTER your training, where Mr Chan will also brief you guys. I will be briefing you all separately after your training. On Tuesday, the campcraft people would still need to come for CU as your training will be after that.

For those Sec 3 HCL people who have orals, you will still be required to come down after your orals at around 11, where Mr Chan will brief you guys together with the Campcraft people.

This means that everyone else other than the HCL and Campcraft people will be required to come down at 8.15.
