As part of our Victorian Tradition, VS NPCC Unit has once again held our annual games day, Challenge Unlimited during the March School Holidays.

The event was a huge success thanks to the hardwork & dedication from every VS NPCC Cadet. During the event, we managed to witness a strong sense of competitiveness among participants.

Victoria School NPCC Unit would like to extend our appreciation to NPCC Units of participating schools for their unwavering support. Without them, the event would not have been such a success. I'm sure our cadets and the participants have learnt something new through this experience.

We hope to see everyone once again next year, during Challenge Unlimited 2012!

NPCC Day commemoration has been confirmed to be held on 23rd May, Monday.
Sec 2, 3, and 4 cadets will be involved.

Attire: Full NPCC Uniform (No need to bring PT Kit)

Please remember that you guys are not supposed to wear your Full Uniform on your way to school, and are only allowed to wear your Mufti attire in public. (PE T-Shirt, NPCC pants and belt, black socks, school shoes) So for those wearing Mufti to school, please change to your Full Uniform in school.

For those of you with your parents fetching you, you can wear your Full Uniform on your way to school.

Also, do remember that your NPCC Uniform is in tip top condition, with berets seasoned, boots well polished, badges pinned up nicely, and shirt and pants ironed. Don't forget your belt and black socks! We would want to spend more time rehearsing the procedures, thus we would want to spend less time on Uniform Inspection. (which will be held at 6.50a.m.)
Note; Name tag should be 1 finger spacing above the pocket.

Cadets without a valid reason for being late will be severely dealt with.
Cadets that have a reason, or cadets with any queries, please SMS your Sir Lee Jiang to notify him.

Apart from the items in the packing list, please bring your sleeping bag and current rank. For those wearing spectacles, please try to put on spectacle hooks or spectacle bands. You would not want them to be slipping down all the time when you are having your activities.

NPCC Service Day 28 July 2010

You are required to attend the NPCC Service Day on 28 July 2010 Wednesday from 3pm to 530pm. You are to put your bags in NPCC Room at 2.55pm and to fall in at school foyer by 3pm sharp. Attire is Full NPCC Uniform (Sec 2 and Sec 3 Squads) and Full School Uniform (Sec 1 Squad). You are to bring along a water bottle.

NPCC Service Day is an annual nationwide event involving all Sec 1 to Sec 3 NPCC cadets. It is an event to mark NPCC contribution to the community where cadets experience & associate with the community. Essentially, NPCC cadets walk into the neighbourhood to spread messages on Crime Prevention. NPCC cadets, during the house-visits, will speak to the residents about crime prevention measures with the aid of their crime prevention handbook.

Victoria School NPCC Unit has been assigned Block 1 to 14 of Marine Terrace HDB estate. You will be assigned into groups of four cadets, led by a Sec 3 senior cadet. Teacher Officers will be around the vicinity to ensure the safety of all cadets. Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre has been notified of the NPCC Unit’s involvement in the NPCC Service Day at Marine Terrace HDB estate.

Time: 3pm to 530pm

COMMENDATION FOR CPL NICHOLAS YUEN AND CPL LEE JIANG

CPL Nicholas Yuen 3D and CPL Lee Jiang 3F represented Victoria School at the Singapore Youth Festival Opening Ceremony Parade last evening 3 July at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Guest of Honour was Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education.

Both cadets underwent over a month of intensive drill practice sessions to prepare for the parade. Both performed well to be selected for the Guard of Honour Contingent. Over the last month, both have exhibited resilience, tenacity, perseverence and discipline to complete the training and parade.

Well Done and Congratulations to both.

1 Usher is only allocated to 1 SCHOOL except for the sec 2s meaning that the usher would be in charge of 2 TEAMS if the school sent in 2 TEAMS. So, the usher would move from place to place, maybe spend half the time with the girls, other half with guys.
